With their new album just around the corner, Melbourne outfit The Paper Kites have channelled their brand of indie folk into a stunning visual offering with Does It Ever Cross Your Mind.

The song’s melancholic, mid-tempo vibes set the scene perfectly for a moody and calculated music video, and it’s another single that proves they’ve upped the ante since acclaimed 2015 LP twelvefour.

It’s not surprising they continue to push their sound, given the extensive touring they’ve racked up since forming in 2010 and releasing hit Bloom, which recently went Gold in the US.

“It's a collection of stories about these characters all living in an apartment building; I wanted to capture moments, feelings, it's about people and their stories,” vocalist Sam Bentley said of the album.
