PREMIERE: Watch The Hello Morning & Ali Barter Take On Johnny Cash's 'Jackson'

Two Melbourne indie acts have taken on a Johnny Cash classic in a brand new video and we've got your first look. Lead singer from The Hello Morning, Steven Clifford and singer-songwriter Ali Barter have collaborated on the blues and country legend's hit Jackson, a cover which features on the recently released EP from the six-piece.

The video was shot in the stairwell of Melbourne heritage building Nicholas and is a simple piece that pretty much lets the music take over. It's a mellow, soothing take on Cash's famous collaboration with his wife June Carter. Watch it below:

The two artists have worked together on series of filmed live recordings at Nicholas and of the collaboration, Clifford said it came about due to a “mutual respect for each others music".
