EXCLUSIVE: Elefant Traks Signs New Act - 'His Talent Exceeds The Boundaries Of Music'

Elefant Traks have today announced the signing of Philippines-born, Melbourne-based artist Powloh.

The producer joins the indie hip hop label which currently boasts a roster that includes big names like Hermitude, L-FRESH The LION, Coda Conduct and Urthboy. 

“We couldn’t be happier to have Powloh join the ET fam," Elefant Traks' Head of Communications Caitlin McGregor said.

"His talent exceeds the boundaries of music and production, and his artistry is both unique and skillful. It’s so cool to welcome new blood to the roster and watch our community grow.

Powloh added, "I've been a fan of Elefant Traks for years.

"I've always admired their ethos of community and being an artist focused label. I'm stoked be joining the fam and to be releasing music side-by-side artists I'm truly inspired by."

The signing coincides with the release of Powloh's new single, Way Away, which is the first taste of a "larger body of work" to be released in early 2021. 

"Way Away was written from the perspective of being in a relationship that’s either falling apart or ending," Powloh said.

"Drawing from past experiences, I’ve been on both sides, either being the one who’s ending it or the one that’s trying to save it. 

"I wrote this as a reminder to myself that although at the time certain circumstances have felt overwhelming and at times seemed like they were everything, after moving on I now look back and they no longer hold as much weight as they once did."
