The ubiquitous producer joins fellow centrepiece talking head Steve Aoki at the industry conference this December

The annual Electronic Music Conference has announced that globally ascendant producer and electro-whiz Porter Robinson will join this year's line-up as the second keynote speaker for the event, following previously announced talking head Steve Aoki.

Robinson released his breakthrough debut album, Worlds earlier this year, and has been on a solidly upward trajectory since, taking his distinctive, considered brand of technologically fuelled tuneage to stages all around the world, including a forthcoming appearance at yearly dance fest Stereosonic.

Robinson and Aoki head up an impressive roster of speakers for this year's conference, including the likes of Will Sparks, Peking Duk, Nina Las Vegas and The Aston Shuffle as well as a gamut of personalities from the industry side of things (see below for the list of speakers announced so far).

If you're not so much about the back-and-forth, and way more interested in the up-and-down, then you'll be stoked to know that for the first time this year EMC is introducing a night-time showcase program, EMC Play, which is currently taking applications from artists ready to put it all on the line in front of industry big-shots.

The EMC will be held this year in Sydney's Kings Cross precinct, from December 2-4; EMC Play will feature on December 3 and 4. Early-bird tickets ($299) are available until this time next week, on September 30. Second-release tickets will set you back $349.
