"We wanted a short, sharp song, filled with nothing but catchphrases, with each part being its own hook. I think we nailed it."

Polish Club are back in the game for 2023 with the release of their fresh summer-time hit, Good Time

Upon releasing their rock-inspired cuts from their third album sessions, Now We're Cookin' In Hell, last year, the band got straight back in the studio with one goal: to appease their hungry fans and create the catchiest song ever.

The Sydney two-piece sat down with producer and songwriter Robby De Sa and came up with Good Time, a track filled with tongue-in-cheek catchphrases, brit-pop beats and four-chord grooves.

"We wanted a short, sharp song filled with nothing but catchphrases, with each part being its own hook. I think we nailed it,” said Novak, lead singer and guitarist of the duo.

The new track is definitely a change of pace from their 2022 release, Boys on Vacations/Bad Vibrations, which tackled some incredibly tough political ground, such as the tale of Australia's leading man going on a Hawaiian vacation in a time of crisis.

Either way, Good Time reminds us that Polish Club can do it all, and Nine network certainly seems to agree, with the television major picking up the song for their coverage of the National Rugby League this season. Channel 9 and 9Now will feature Good Time on the national broadcaster's promos, live broadcasts, and online content for both NRL Men and Women seasons.

Not a bad gig, considering that there will be almost 90 NRL matches televised on Nine over the coming season. Let the good times roll.
