"Sharing your experience is surely better than an entirely masturbatory existence."

Perth alt rockers FOAM have announced a run of national dates this August to coincide with their upcoming debut album and brand new single, I Could Milk Myself.

Having supported the likes of DZ Deathrays and Wax Witches over the years, FOAM's newest is a "song about companionship, anxiety and self-reflection", according to frontman Joel Martin.

"Sometimes when you find yourself vulnerable or lost, that support network of friends and/or family can be the only thing between you and that black void. No matter how independent or strong a person you are, sharing your experience is surely better than an entirely masturbatory existence."

The band's eight-date tour will start in their hometown before expanding out to the east coast, stopping in at Newcastle, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Kyneton, Sydney and Wollongong from 30 July until 27 August.
