“We have a new dream.”

After dishing up massive headline sets from the likes of A$AP Rocky, Die Antwoord, Pendulum and more in recent years, beloved WA festival Origin NYE is rebranding and expanding.

The exciting new changes will see the festival relocate back to its original home of Langley Reserve in the city centre under the name Origin Fields Festival, while expanding to a two-day event with “a new musical direction”.

The new direction promises a more musically diverse line-up for the 2018 event, with headline acts revealed soon.

“From booking ‘sub culture’ acts and watching the music we love gradually become the mainstream. It’s been a crazy ride.

“Time changes things, in this case we have a new dream. To become an event that anyone in Perth can attend to celebrate the New Year.

“We can’t thank Perth, our interstate and international travellers enough for their continual support. Without their passion, Origin wouldn’t be the monster it is today.”

This year’s event will take place from 30 – 31 December, with registration for pre-sale tickets available now.
