"Love. Time. Death. The great defining elements that make up our existence. This song begins with the simplest of human sounds and represents these elements as the musical journey grows to reach its souring crescendo before facing the inevitable conclusion of its journey. The night grows dark… darker still."

Parkway Drive have shared the video for the titular track of their upcoming full-length Darker Still and announced their first-ever pop-up shop to celebrate.

A sprawling epic Darker Still sees Parkway Drive breaking new sonic ground, by embracing some of their formative rock and metal influences and infusing them with their own unique character. The track creeps to life with a whistle and an acoustic guitar. From here - for close to seven minutes - the band takes us on a sweeping odyssey through guitar solos, ethereal choirs and strings and a surprising clean vocal performance from Winston McCall.

McCall released a statement upon Darker Still's release writing, "Love. Time. Death. The great defining elements that make up our existence. This song begins with the simplest of human sounds and represents these elements as the musical journey grows to reach its souring crescendo before facing the inevitable conclusion of its journey. The night grows dark… darker still."

The band also announced their first-ever pop-up store will be opening on Saturday, September 10 in Melbourne. The Parkway Drive DigitalXPhysical Gallery and Pop-Up Store will be open for one day only in Melbourne's OSHI Gallery located at 384 Smith Street, Collingwood. A completely immersive experience, the shop will feature new and exclusive limited apparel and vinyl, never-before-seen Parkway Drive art and memorabilia and there will be a signed Parkway Drive guitar up for grabs.

There will be a limited edition Marble Transparent Yellow/Black Vinyl exclusively available until sold out, as well as an Australian exclusive Galaxy Royal Blue/Baby Blue and Galaxy Swamp Green/Double Mint Vinyl variants. The store will be open from 9 am - 6 pm. The first 50 fans through the door will receive a Parkway Drive signed print. More details can be found on the event page

Darker Still unfurls like the great rock concept albums, from Pink Floyd to, most comparably, Nine Inch Nails' The Downward Spiral, its 11 tracks taking in ruminations on society’s fear of death, isolation and a loss of humanity in its journey to redemptive enlightenment, it will be released on September 9 via Parkway Records.
