Hekka Festival returns to Fortitude Valley venue Greaser this August with Pandamic and Total Pace leading a line-up of Brissy's best.

More Pandamic More Pandamic

Pandamic and Total Pace will headline a huge 2022 edition of Hekka Festival.

After a successful debut in 2021, Hekka Festival is set to take over Fortitude Valley venue Greaser in August, putting the spotlight on some of Brissy's best.

Across two very loud nights and two stages, Hekka Festival will put the spotlight on Brisbane's burgeoning underground, with Annoying Neighbours, Mitch Please, Hot Reno, Pvcker Up Naaki Soul, PHD!, Laura Mac, and Black Bugs joining Pandamic and Total Pace for what promises to be a hekkin' great time.

Combining raucous riffs, bitey-punk bass lines, and thunderous drumbeats with catchy melodies and melancholy with a splash of technicality, Pandamic’s distinct fusion of grungy skater-punk and indie rock has won them a legion of fans. With anthemic choruses that beg to be screamed at the top of your lungs, Pandamic's headlining set at Hekka Festival has the potential to be something special.

Comprising Members of I Heart Hiroshima, Violent Soho, and DZ Deathrays coming together to create the ultimate DIY punk band, Total Pace are no strangers to tearing Fortitude Valley stages apart. Their live shows are sweaty, mosh-filled, and energetic callbacks to a bygone era of the Brissy rock scene, when flying elbows were more of a concern than flying pathogens. A musical molotov cocktail that promises to ignite Hekka Festival, Total Pace are a cannot-miss proposition on a line-up full of cannot-miss propositions.

Other highlights at Hekka are the high-energy psychedelic rock/garage punk fusion of Annoying Neighbours, the 'nerd punk' sounds of Mitch Please, and the unique fuzz-drenched, thrash stylings of Hot Reno, all of whom will bring the mosh to Meanjin. Tom Bloomfield of WAAX will also be performing a DJ set at the event.

Tickets for Hekka Festival are on sale now, for the very reasonable cost of ten bucks.
