Lauded Brisbane north-side venue Eatons Hill Hotel will welcome a certified Oz-rock legend when former Cold Chisel guitarist (and occasional vocalist) Ian Moss makes his way to its award-winning stage in December.

Flanked by a special guest yet to be announced, Moss will woo show-goers at a standalone show on Friday 23 December, with the festivities set to get under way from 7.30pm. As part of Moss's ongoing Six Strings Classics tour, the performance will draw heavily from the man's seminal 2005 album of the same name.

That said, there's plenty more where those songs came from: Moss's most recent album is 2011's Greatest Hits Acoustic compilation, and 2009's Soul on West 53rd his most recent new studio effort. With a further four albums under his belt (dating back to 1989's Matchbook), fans are hopefully likely to be treated to a wealth of other long-standing favourites in addition to the classics from Six Strings.

Tickets are on sale now from $35 for general admission and $135 for VIP packages including house beers, wines and spirits, as well as canapes and exclusive mezzanine access. It's the last date on Moss's Six Strings Classics tour — kicking off at the end of this month in Geelong — so you'd be foolhardy to let this one pass you by if you're in the area.
