Sydney's industrial metal demons, Our Last Enemy, have revealed that their track Never Coming Back has been synced to the horror-comedy film, Eating Miss Campbell, distributed by TROMA Entertainment.

Never too late to keep Halloween spirits alive, the group shared on social media: "What a way to wrap up our Halloween than the news our track Never Coming Back is on the soundtrack to a TROMA film," with some shocked-face emojis.

They added, "Produced by Lloyd Kaufman (The Toxic Avenger) and Director Liam Regan with a score by Oscar Winner Joe Renzetti (Child's Play, Frankenhooker, Poltergeist III),  [The film is about] ''A vegan-goth high school student falls in a taboo relationship with her new English teacher and soon develops a problematic appetite for human flesh.'"

The band is understandably stoked about this development, as they played the Halloween Spookshow with Witchgrinder in Sydney and Melbourne last month and shared a Twitch stream performing as zombies. We can't get enough of that energy.

Earlier this year, Our Last Enemy put their creepy spin on the Batman And Robin soundtrack's The End Is The Beginning Is The End by the Smashing Pumpkins. The cover and corresponding video are suitably dystopian, featuring drop-tuned riffage, call-to-arms chorus, and lively synths.

Drawing influence from industrial music heroes Nine Inch Nails, Rammstein, Fear Factory, and Korn, Our Last Enemy are interested in pushing genre boundaries and incorporating groove and progressive metal elements.

Their most recent release, the 2021 EP As Above, So Below, was the first taste of new music from Our Last Enemy in nine years. The band initially planned to release a full-length before COVID-19, but the multi-faceted heavy EP has tided us over so far.
