Ocean Grove And Friends Announce Christmas Show

Christmas has come early for Ocean Grove fans. 

Today, the band announced they will play a special hometown Christmas show with special guests Bloom, TOWNS and Daddy Issues on Friday, 17 December, at Stay Gold in Melbourne.

The Melbourne group released their third album, Up In The Air Forever, earlier this year. Following appearances at Monolith Festival, headline shows and performances in the UK and Europe, and performing at Good Things Festival this weekend, the brand new era for the Oddworld trio is in full swing. 

What better way to celebrate the band's latest chapter, bid farewell to a spectacular year and get in the festive spirit than with the first-ever Ocean Grove Christmas party?

Ocean Grove vocalist Dale Tanner said about the group's upcoming Christmas celebrations: "We realised no one really knows what Christmas is like in The Oddworld, so we figured we'd throw a party and invite everyone along to find out!!!"

He added, "The inaugural ODDWORLD XMAS is gunna be a jolly as fuck way to cap off a wild 2022, and we can't wait to shake the walls of Stay Gold for one last hoorah before the year is out. It wouldn't be a party without mates, so we're bringing the best oddballs we could find (Bloom, Towns & Daddy Issues) along for the sleigh ride. Sydney's Bloom are known for combining hard-hitting thematics and gripping melodic hardcore with effortless ease, leading to epic singalong moments that will be perfect for an end-of-year celebration. Dashing in from Adelaide, TOWNS bring '90s pop-rock vibes with a unique Aussie flavour. Meanwhile, Melbourne's Daddy Issues dish crunchy distortion alongside soaring emotional melodies. The four-piece all-girl punk band promise to deliver fuzz, dreamy melodics and the cathartic snarl of a woman scorned.
