Less than a year after their last Australian performances – at Groovin The Moo and accompanying sideshows – UK rockers Nothing But Thieves are bringing their Welcome To The DCC World Tour down under this April/May.

Their last Australian tour completely sold out, so to meet significant demand, Nothing But Thieves are playing in larger venues this time around.

The tour begins on Tuesday, 30 April, at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion before the band heads to Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall (Wednesday, 1 May), Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on Saturday, 4 May, and Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Tuesday, 7 May. The tour ends in New Zealand, with the band scheduled to play at Auckland’s Powerstation on Thursday, 9 May.

You can sign up here to access early tickets to Nothing But Thieves’ forthcoming Aus/NZ tour – the Early Bird pre-sale opens on Wednesday, 7 February, at noon, with general sale tickets available from Thursday, 8 February, at noon local time. You can buy tickets here.

Nothing But Thieves are touring in support of their funky new album, Dead Club City, released last June. Dead Club City brought the band their first ARIA Top 10 and UK #1 album. Their single Welcome To The DCC landed at #95 on triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2023.

On Friday, 15 March, Nothing But Thieves will release an expanded edition of Dead Club City, having recently announced Dead Club City Deluxe and dropped the single Oh No :: He Said What?

The band said about the single, “Like Welcome To The DCC, the song is mostly from the point of view of those running Dead Club City - except now, they're panicked by the monster they've helped to create. The grifters have moved in. A utopia that was meant to be beyond borders or traditional government control has been dragged back down by the human condition; maybe it was inevitable.”

“The song was the very last thing we finished off in the studio and, at one point, wasn't really part of the concept. The story was meant to end with Pop The Balloon, but these extra songs leave the door open a bit. We like that. Maybe we'll want to check in on Dead Club City in a decade's time and see how it's doing?”
