New Punk Rock Venue The Lady Hampshire Opens In Sydney

The Lady Hampshire, an iconic pub in Camperdown, Sydney, is reopening as a dedicated live music venue playing host to several Aussie punk-leaning acts, from These New South Whales to Bugs.

The venue will begin programming live music this April and May. Leading the charge for the double header opening weekend is the punk-rock quartet, FANGZ, on Friday, 14 April, with special guests DEDPAN and Wicked Envy along for the ride.

Celebrations will continue with indie rock/pop-punk group Pacific Avenue alongside special guests JUNO and Darcy Lane, with Bryn Chapman of Mac The Knife jumping on the decks. View more scheduled shows below.

“Bringing The Lady Hampshire back to life with live music as the focus is exactly what Sydney has been asking for,” Elliott Harper, Entertainment & Event Manager at PUBLIC Hospitality Group, commented in a statement.

Harper continued, “When it comes to entertainment venues, we only want to foster growth and success across our city and think The Lady will be the destination for all types of musicians and patrons. The first month alone has some of the most exciting gigs Sydney has seen this year, and we can't wait to bring it to locals and gig-goers.”

The opening days of The Lady Hampshire as a music venue will include pop-up tattoos and free nail art exhibits.

PUBLIC Hospitality Group owns and manages The Lady Hampshire, prioritising community and experience. The group owns further venues, including Oxford House, The Strand, El Primo Sanchez, and The Norfolk, among others.
