Metallica Team Up With Stranger Things For New 'Hellfire Club' Drop

Metallica have announced a new collaborative merch drop with Stranger Things. 

The collaborative Hellfire Club release features Metallica branded white and black jersey, a black T-shirt and a black hoodie, all with Hellfire Club art.

The collaborative drop was inspired by the renewed popularity Master Of Puppets has received thanks to the season four Stranger Things episode The Piggyback, where fan favourite Eddie Munson (played by Joseph Quinn) shreds the classic in The Upside Down. That scene and people's responses to it, sent the track flying up charts worldwide, including in Australia where it charted for the first time, 36 years after its release. 

Metallica released a statement with the new merch line on Twitter. 

"We’re having the most metal meeting ever of The Hellfire Club so we’re scouting out “lost sheep” and outsiders to join. Do you think you have what it takes? Then suit up!"

The Metallica Hellfire Club items are on sale now via Metallica's website and Netflix.

Metallica are noted fans of Stranger Things and the way their music was used in the series, with the band sharing their thoughts on social media. 

"The way The Duffer Brothers have incorporated music into Stranger Things has always been next level, so we were beyond psyched for them to not only include Master Of Puppets in the show but to have such a pivotal scene built around it,”

"We were all stoked to see the final result and when we did we were totally blown away... it’s so extremely well done, so much so, that some folks were able to guess the song just by seeing a few seconds of Joseph Quinn’s hands in the trailer!! Metallica and Stranger Things also came together with Kate Bush recently courtesy of Anthony Vincent and Trivium frontman Matt Heafy's viral cover of Running Up That Hill which they perform in the style of Master Of Puppets.
