Coming in 2018.

Melbourne is set to welcome a brand new late night venue in 2018 which will be set up in a never-before-used space.

The 5000-capacity venue, B3, will reveal its exact location next year, however it has been confirmed that it will be based close to the Melbourne CBD.

B3 is to be launched by boutique music agency, Novel, who is behind the music for events like Let Them Eat Cake, Pitch Music & Arts Festival and Days Like This.

"Novel is always looking for new and unused spaces to host events," Novel director, Daniel Teuma, told The Music.

"We definitely value the prospect of a fresh location and what it can add to any punters experience. In fact, B3 is one of three new spaces we will launch next year. Not since the days of Public Office and Dockland Sheds have there been an inner-city event which feature festival-sized numbers indoors, close to public transport, and through the night.

"We are very excited that this new venue will introduce that experience to a whole new generation."

Teuma could not disclose the artists set to perform at B3, however he promises they will be big names.

"The artists we have lined-up next year are currently leaders in their respective fields which should appeal to a broad demographic, and no doubt the venue should attract adventure-seekers, those looking to try something different," he said.
