Musicians Mental Health Summit Coming To Melbourne Next Month

Renowned music engineer Tony ‘Jack the Bear’ Mantz is kicking off 2018 by bringing back his podcast Mastering Music Mastering Life for a special event that will focus on mental health issues within the music industry.

The Mastering Music Mastering Life Mental Health Summit will feature a panel hosted by Mantz and joined by King Parrot’s Matt Young, Acolyte’s Morgan Leigh BrownDJ Agent 86’s Romina Di Benedetto and Ryan Hassan from the Melbourne Centre of Healing.

The March event will tackle the difficult topic of mental health issues and how they manifest within the music industry.

“The discussion will also include a look at substance abuse, addiction issues and general life challenges around work, life and relationships,” Mantz said.

“More importantly we want to explore and look at practical ways to deal with these topics better.”

The only payment required to attend the event is a gold coin donation, with all of the proceeds raised to be donated to Support Act.

Mantz is also conducting a mastering drive where he will master tracks for donations that will be put towards the running costs of future events.
