"Who wouldn't sign up for that?"

Melbourne psyche-rock outfit Pretty City have announced they'll be hitting the road this August for a headline tour in support of their debut album Colorize.

The trio shocked many when they dropped their first record on vinyl rather than digital, however band member Hugh Matthews said the choice was an easy one.

"There's got to be a reason Madonna says 'Hey Mr DJ put a RECORD on I wanna dance with my baby'," Matthews said.

"And here it is: Digital is instant coffee music: you mostly eat it with a spoon rushing out the door. It does ok, however, Vinyl has that dark, sticky flavour. It melts your face and caresses your soul at the same time. Who wouldn't sign up for that?"

The tour will see the lads perform in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
