12-month industry mentorships available

The Association Of Artist Managers [AAM] has opened applications to its Artist Manager Mentor Program for 2013.

Offered with support from APRA, the program pairs young managers with experienced Executive and General members of AAM for a 12-month mentorship. This year the successful applications and mentors will also take back in an induction event, which will take place in early October.

Warner Music Australia and the Jimmy Little Foundation are also on board this year to launch the Jimmy Little Indigenous Managers Fund, which will cover the an indigenous applicant's travel and accommodation expenses to attend the induction event.

“This is a wonderful opportunity that brings together knowledge and expertise to provide more possibilities for Indigenous artists and their managers,” said Jimmy Little Foundation CEO and AAM board member Graham Buzz Bidstrup. “Jimmy instigated this partnership and would be proud to know it is a reality.”
