Suspect, 31, remains in custody for questioning

British police have arrested a man on suspicion of murder following the death of 26-year-old festival-goer Robert Hart at Manchester's Parklife Weekender festival last Saturday.

According to The Independent, the 31-year-old suspect was arrested in Cheshire at the weekend, following two weeks of community and media support for the appeal to help find the man who had punched Hart out as he reportedly sought to shield his girlfriend from a wayward inflatable toy during Snoop Dogg's set at the Heaton Park event.

Hart was knocked unconscious by the blow and consequently died in hospital. Police are holding the suspect in custody while he undergoes questioning.

“We now have a man in custody, but that doesn't mean the investigation is at an end,” Detective Inspector Richard Eales said. “We are continuing to investigate and we are renewing our appeal for information or any relevant footage.”

The death comes less than a month after Perth musician Sacha Tostevin was placed in an induced coma after an alleged one-punch assault in Subiaco's Hay Street. He has since reawoken.
