Thanks for the memories.

After a solid six years together, indie-rock outfit Loon Lake have sadly announced that they are splitting up.

In a prepared statement shared on the band's Facebook page, the Melbourne quintet stressed that they are breaking up on good terms.

"There is no fall out, no drama here, It’s just over and it was fun while it lasted," the statement read.

"We are very, very proud of what we have achieved over the last 6 years, to be honest, we never really set out to achieve anything except have a bit of fun, but even in our wildest dreams, we couldn't imagine it would be this fun."

"Loon Lake isn't breaking up, we are just winding up. We are all still best mates and that wont change. Our reasons are simply that we feel like we may have run our course, we probably won't ever be much more than we are and with everyone doing different things, living in different places, it’s pretty hard to keep it going."
