Linkin Park Tease Unreleased Song From 'Meteora' Era, 'Lost' To Premiere On Friday

Linkin Park will release a new/old song on Friday - a never-before-heard track from the Meteora archives called Lost, ahead of the seminal 2003 LP's 20th anniversary this March.

The band unveiled a teaser on social media, which sounds like classic Linkin Park. Hearing Chester Bennington's voice again through a 17-second clip is already making fans emotional.

The announcement of Lost arrives after the band recently began teasing the 20th anniversary of Meteora. 

On 28 January, Linkin Park updated their profile picture on social media accounts to the vintage spray paint man logo - a logo that featured on all of the band's 2003 merchandise and the Meteora album cover.

Let's not forget how huge Meteora actually was at the time: it debuted at #2 on the ARIA Albums Chart and #1 on the ARIA Heavy Rock & Metal Albums Chart. Meteora was huge worldwide; it's sold over 16 million records, making it the 8th best-selling album of the 21st century behind superstars like Adele, Eminem, Coldplay and Evanescence, but above Green Day, Bruno Mars and P!nk. Meteora features the massive singles, Numb, Faint, Somewhere I Belong, From The Inside and Breaking The Habit.

Meanwhile, on Facebook, Linkin Park posted the following: "D:\downloads\LiNkiNgPaRk-nUmB.exe
START LiNkiNgPaRk-nUmB.exe" with a link to their website in the comments. 

Their website at the time featured a countdown to what we predicted would be an announcement for the Meteora 20th anniversary. Linkin Park's website currently has a sign-up page to their mailing list. Maybe check back on Friday for updates?

As a Reddit user noted, the lyric website Genius leaked the Meteora 20th anniversary album cover and tracklist. The tracklist, according to Genius, is humungous and is as follows:
