Queensland Music Trails have unveiled the lineup for their The Long Sunset Festival, set in the beautiful Scenic Rim, and it's looking to be their biggest yet.

Lime Cordiale are leading the event, bringing their mega hits that scored them four placements in triple-j's hottest 100. Winston Surfshirt will join the two brothers, showcasing their new album Panna Cotta and cementing the groovy vibes.

Hatchie, Sycco and Tia Gostelow will bring the tunes earlier in the day, along with Peach Fur, bella amor, Baby Cool and Luke Brazier.

The one-day event is the capstone of Qld Music Trails’ Scenic Rim Trail, which guides visitors on a musical expedition around the finest nooks of Southeast Queensland.

The Scenic Rim Mayor Greg Christensen said the success of the inaugural The Long Sunset event in 2022 had set the stage for another wonderful event in 2023.

"I have had nothing but overwhelmingly positive feedback on that first concert event, from a diverse array of attendees," he said.

"All were blown away by the spectacular setting, in that incredibly lush valley surrounded by mountains, and the happy, relaxed vibe that permeated the event, as well as the brilliant musical line-up. We love welcoming new visitors to the Scenic Rim, and last year more than 90 per cent of festival-goers travelled to The Long Sunset specifically for the event. We also saw flow-on effects to local businesses and the tourism sector, with over $1.16 million injected into the local economy," he said.

"This  year we are delighted that campers will be able to stay for up to three nights and all attendees will be able to take advantage of the long weekend, which will give them the opportunity to stay and play a little longer in the Richest Place on Earth, in Australia - the Scenic Rim."

Winston Surfshirt has also commented on the picturesque location, saying, “We're pumped to be heading back to Queensland in April, always love playing up there. The line-up is exceptional, some serious talent we'll be playing amongst! See you soon, The Long Sunset!"

As well as a live music juggernaut, The Long Sunset doubles as a signpost for those looking to embark on a much larger adventure in one of Australia’s natural wonderlands; the Scenic Rim. Trail-goers are invited to come the night before for the Friday night campfire sessions with Laura Frank, Seasoning and The Inadequates, kicking off a long weekend of camping and chilling with good mates.

A bespoke adventure for lovers of nature, music and friends - the Scenic Rim Trail, and more of Qld Music Trails’ 2023 program, are on sale now.
