More Korn More Korn

Korn frontman Jonathan Davis has launched a line of pet products. The predictably, yet still rather ingeniously named Freak On A Leash pet product line features a range of pet accessories, designed by Davis himself.  Very much a 'dog-person',  Davis announced the Freak On A Leash launch via Instagram, writing.

"These premium products are created for all, paying homage to the horror and rock music we love. This first collection, designed exclusively by me, contains all custom products made with high-quality gunmetal hardware, leather, nylon, and plushies that will set your pet apart from the pack.”

Davis went on to reveal that Freak On A Leash has partnered exclusively with promoter Danny Swimmer Presents and Take Me Home Rescue to give fans an early look at the line, announcing an event for Saturday, October 8. The first 100 fans attending the festival to purchase Freak On A Leash merch will receive a wristband to meet Davis in person. Davis also revealed that a portion of proceeds sold at the festival, as well as the webstore launch, will be donated to the Take Me Home organization and also confirmed that the official worldwide launch date is October 28.  People wanting to pick up some of the range for this pup can grab the chance to do so by heading to www.freakonaleash.com to sign up.

Davis also posted a photo of himself and his dog Dante, earlier that day that is too cute not to share.

Freak On A Leash is named after Korn's megahit of the same name. Lifted off the band's massively successful 1999 album Follow The Leader, Freak On A Leash is one of the nu-metal originators' most iconic songs.

Earlier this year, Amy Lee delighted fans in Colorado by joining Korn onstage. The Evanescence vocalist joined the nu-metal originators at Denver's Ball Arena for a spirited performance of Freak On A Leash.  The performance was a reunion of sorts, with Lee having featured on the 2007 MTV Unplugged version of the song. You can watch fan footage of the 2022 live version below. Both bands are touring in support of new records, with Korn pushing their #1 ARIA charting Requiem and Evanescence touring their career-reviving The Bitter Truth.

Requiem is Korn's tenth Top 10 album in Australia and third #1, following on from 1998’s Follow The Leader (home to the original version of Freak On A Leash) and 1999’s Issues. “It seems like in life at the moment I’m having a rebirth after The Nothing,” frontman Jonathan Davis told The Music ahead of Requiem’s release. “All that pain from what I call my previous life, it’s done. I am experiencing this new light, I’m really happy… I won’t call it light because I’m a dark motherfucker and I like the dark [laughs], but I‘m in this really good place of enlightenment and happiness.” The Music reviewer Rod Whitfield said the band’s latest offering was “short, sharp and memorable”, noting that “if you’re even a passing fan of this band, you’ll enjoy Requiem”.
