Knotfest organisers weren’t kidding: the inaugural Australian festival has no clashes. Two stages, one band after another, pure heavy metal awesomeness for an entire day.

This is the timetable in Melbourne, through my phone: 11:20 am Malevolence into Bad Omens at 11:50, followed by Void Of Vision at 12:20 pm and Alpha Wolf immediately after at 12:50.
From there, Knocked Loose take the stage at 1:20, with a highly-anticipated set from Spiritbox up next at 1:50. Story Of The Year follow at 2:30, with In Flames (3:10), Amon Amarth (3:50), Northlane (4:35), and Trivium (5:20) capping off the afternoon.

Megadeth burst onto the stage at 6:05, with Parkway Drive making their long-awaited return to Australian stages at 7:05. Slipknot cap off the phenomenal evening at 8:20 and the day ends at 9:50.
Note that this is only the Melbourne schedule; Sydney and Brisbane may differ but you get the general gist. With no clashes, here’s hoping that the two stages are right next to each other so nobody misses a thing.
Slipknot created Knotfest in 2012. From the original event in Iowa - where else? - the festival quickly expanded to Japan in 2014. Knotfest has also stopped in Canada, Germany, Mexico, Colombia and France.
The event is lovingly dubbed an immersive, unforgettable, ‘dark carnival experience’ that invites you into Slipknot’s apocalyptic underworld where stunning visuals, fire breathers and nightmarish creatures on stilts set the stage for an intoxicating and memorable weekend of live music.
