Kevin Smith has directed a new music video for rapper Logic's new single, Highlife. And reunited with Smith are his Clerks castmates, Dante (Brian O’Halloran), Randal (Jeff Anderson) and Jay (Jason Mewes), with Smith reprising his Silent Bob character. Check out the video below.

In the song, Logic's lyrics state, "In the mornin’, yeah, I light it up / Yeah, you know the boy blazin’, man/ Know this feelin’ so amazin’, man," if you're wondering what's in the bag he gives to the Clerks.

Logic shared his excitement about working with Smith on Instagram, where he wrote, "It was a dream come true working on one of my favorite [sic] directors of all time Kevin Smith.

"On top of that we got the Clerks cast together on the original set. It was like Logic’s version of Disneyland… except everyone was real and there to shoot my music video!!" Highlife will appear on Logic's forthcoming album, College Park, out on 24 February.

In 2019, Kevin Smith appeared in the Jay And Silent Bob reboot. The film was released after Smith took to Twitter to tease the movie that was in pre-production at the time.

There had been plenty of talk in the years prior to the sequel for Clerks and other iconic titles from the writer/actor, but Smith revealed that the next instalment in the Jay & Silent Bob universe was within reach, with Smith and Jason Mewes reprising the beloved roles.

"Spent the first day of 2019 having a #JayAndSilentBobReboot pre-pre-production meeting,” Smith tweeted before stating that this year would be the “year of the REBOOT”.

Jay & Silent Bob made their debut in Smith’s seminal 1994 flick Clerks before scoring their own film in 2001, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back.

In December 2019, Logic made his Australian headline tour debut, as well as his appearance at the inaugural SandTunes festival.

The Maryland-born artist took to the stage at Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena and Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne, where he was supported by Australia's own Thundamentals.

"We’re excited to be presenting Logic’s first-ever shows in Australia," TEG Dainty CEO Paul Dainty said.
