Do you like grunge music and Keanu Reeves? You’re in luck, as Dogstar, the 90s band he played in, have just announced their first album in 23 years is arriving on Friday, 6 October.

Somewhere Between The Power Lines And Palm Trees will be released via the band’s label, Dillon Street Records. You can listen to the first single, Everything Turns Around, below.

In case you missed it, Dogstar shared a new press photo in May revealing that exciting news was “coming soon”. That revelation followed the band sharing studio pics last July and a private gig "for the incredible people who made our new album possible" in December.

Reeves, drummer Rob Mailhouse and vocalist Bret Domrose then teased: "We will be rolling out some new music this summer, followed by some gigs. As soon as it’s all figured out, we will let everyone know immediately."

Dogstar released two albums during their initial active period, 1996’s Our Little Visionary, and 2000’s Happy Ending. The band broke up in 2002.

Reeves co-founded Dogstar in 1991. In their 11-year activity, the band had the opportunity to open for Bon Jovi and opened one show for David Bowie.

Dogstar will tour across the US in August, followed by another run of US dates in November and December.

In late May, the trio made their live return on the big stage: at BottleRock Festival in Napa Valley, California, performing on the same day as legends Duran DuranLizzoNile Rodgers & ChicLupe Fiasco, and many more.

In a recent Billboard interview, Reeves opened up about the band’s reformation, telling the publication, “I missed playing together, I missed writing together, I missed doing shows together. It’s something I’ve always missed.”
