This year’s season of The Voice Australia has already seen a major shake-up, with the Channel 7 reality singing competition announcing its new superstar coaching and judging panel. No premiere date has been revealed yet, just a “later this year” from Channel 7.

Guy Sebastian is now the sole remaining coach from last year’s season (and since 2019). This year, he’ll be joined by Australian star Kate Miller-Heidke and two powerhouse American singer-songwriters, Adam Lambert and LeAnn Rimes. Host Sonia Kruger remains on board in 2024.

Both Lambert and Rimes are internationally, critically acclaimed superstars in their genres: Lambert as a solo pop star and as the lead singer for Queen, and Rimes a renowned country-meets-pop singer.

Rimes’ appointment follows rumours that circulated last month about her joining a different version of The Voice: The Voice UK after British publication The Sun published a report about her appearance on the show.

Filming for The Voice Australia’s 13th season begins in two weeks, with free audience tickets available here for those who’d like to attend as the show starts its blind auditions.

Each coach made statements about their appearance on the 2024 edition of The Voice Australia, with Kate Miller-Heidke kicking things off. She said, “I am so excited to be joining The Voice and to sit on the panel alongside these incredible singers. The art and craft of singing has been at the centre of my life, and I feel like I have learned some things that might be of help to young or inexperienced performers.

“I’ll be looking for people with the soul of an artist; people with something to say; who make you lean in and want to know more about them. And I’m really looking forward to getting to know the other coaches. Bring it on!”

Rimes said, “I am incredibly honoured and excited to embrace the opportunity of coaching on The Voice. This special chance to mentor and discover new voices throughout Australia is a reflection of the love and support I’ve received from my Australian fans throughout my career. I look forward to returning the love, sharing my experiences, and hearing fresh, promising talent.”

Lambert added, “I am thrilled to be joining the panel of The Voice this season. I have such great memories in Australia and can’t wait to spend some time down under! Australia has contributed some iconic talents and artists to pop culture; it’ll be fun to coach the next generation of talent. You can expect some killer song selections, fashion fashion fashion, and, of course, a win for Team Adam!”

Sebastian concluded, “It’s so good to be back on The Voice! It is always very special to be a part of a show that continues to not only uncover fresh Aussie talent but also shine a bright, well-deserved light on so many talented singers. Adding the insane talent of LeAnn, Kate and Adam on the show this year is going to be killer!! They’re all such amazing, world-class artists who I know will bring something fresh and incredible to the season. Let’s go!”

Seven’s Chief Content Officer, Entertainment Programming, Angus Ross, teased the new season as the “best season yet”, while ITV Studios Australia CEO & Managing Director, David Mott, promised an “extraordinary” 13th season of The Voice Australia.
