The Blue Mountains-bred troubadour will unveil his eagerly awaited full-length this August

Alt-country artist Jason Walker has announced the details of his new album, All-Night Ghost Town — his first through prestigious label Lost Highway Records.

All-Night Ghost Train is Walker's fourth studio album, produced by ARIA-winning songsmith Shane Nicholson. The duo paired up over a six-month period at Nicholson’s recording studio, The Sound Hole, on the Central Coast of New South Wales. As it turns out, it's something of a match made in heaven.

“Making music with Jason Walker is like dissecting all of my favourite albums and making a collage from the pieces. On top of that, we share a love for Gram Parsons, we have the same dress sense, and we both dance like shit,” Nicholson said in a statement.

Walker, a veteran guitarist and steel guitar player, arrived on Australian shores on the cusp of adulthood, and has spent the ensuing decades ensconced in Sydney’s immortal live and recording scenes.

“It has taken me a while between records, usually five years at least," Walker said. "In that time, I have been through a fair bit; falling in love, first-time fatherhood, a couple of break-downs, rehab – the gamut of emotions. In my experience, it has been worth the while."

The eight-track album is due Friday 12 August, and available to pre-order now. Fans who pre-order All-Night Ghost Town will instantly receive the lead single, Borrowed Tunes.
