This Sunday (August 27), a stack of fantastic artists – including Jaguar Jonze, Bella Amor, Jacob Lee and Lily Papas – will hit the Gold Coast for a new music festival called Bangerz 4 Boobiez, raising funds for breast cancer awareness.

The festival itself will take place at the 1,100-cap Burleigh Bazaar, with tickets available here. The full lineup is rounded out by Saint Lane, Buttered, René Le Feuvre and Kent Dustin. A suite of artists have also donated signed items to be raffled off on the day, including Amy Shark, Sheppard, Casey Barnes and Mallrat (in addition to Jaguar Jonze).

Every cent raised at the show will go to a good cause. 50 percent of the funds will be donated to Breast Cancer Network Australia, with the rest going to local filmmaker Bianca Hinton. Earlier this year, the 25-year-old was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of triple-negative breast and lymph node cancer; she is currently undergoing intense chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments. The funds raised for her will go towards covering her medical bills, post-treatment recovery and loss of work.

Hinton is best known for her work with artists like Jaguar Jonze, Wallows and Saint Barae, having directed, filmed, edited and produced an impressive portfolio of music videos and show coverage. Last year, she was crowned Visual Creative Of The Year at the Gold Coast Music Awards; she’s also a finalist for this year’s awards.

In a post she made on Facebook, Hinton said of Bangerz 4 Boobiez: “We have so many amazing artists and sponsors on board, who are donating their time and talents to make this something special. Plus, all proceeds will be donated. It’ll also be my first gig/outing in eight months, so it’s safe to say that I’m PUMPED and would love to celebrate live music and boobiez with some familiar faces.”

Additionally, a GoFundMe campaign has been set up to raise funds for Hinton. At the time of writing, the total raised is sitting at just under $28,500 – you can (and should) add to that number here.
