Thought you could escape the Christmas tunes this year?

More Mariah Carey More Mariah Carey

You know Christmas is drawing near when you start hearing those dulcet tones of Mariah Carey's 1994 hit, All I Want For Christmas Is You.

Last year, Carey finally hit the #1 spot on the ARIA Singles Chart with the track after it peaked at #2 on debut in the '90s and now, just days into December, it's looking likely that the track is going to have another successful year on the chart.

According to mid-week figures, All I Want For Christmas Is You is likely to land within this week's top 20, moving up from #68 last week.

It could be a big week all round for Carey though, with her 1994 album Merry Christmas looking to end up in the ARIA Albums Chart top 20 from #36.
