More Iron Reagan More Iron Reagan

Virginia-bred metal mainstays Iron Reagan have announced a handful of east-coast dates this April, about nine months after their doomed tour to Australia with Toxic Holocaust fell through.

Kicking off at Yours & Owls in Wollongong on Tuesday, 7 April, the band will hit venues in Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney and Melbourne during their visit Down Under, with tickets for all shows on sale now, except Wollongong, which will be up for grabs via the venue from Monday, 4 February.

Iron Reagan formed about three years ago as members from renowned outfits such as Municipal Waste, Cannabis Corpse and Darkest Hour came together to form the new concern, which has in its relatively short lifespan garnered a dedicated, growing fan base and seen the band release a demo EP, a studio full-length (Worse Than Dead) and a split with Exhumed.

Last year, they were conscripted as replacements for Skeletonwitch aboard Toxic Holocaust's embattled tour of the country, which first faced postponement due to illness and consequently saw the former band unable to keep their commitment. However, before Toxic Holocaust and Iron Reagan could breach the southern hemisphere, tour promoter Robert MacManus, of Heathen Skulls, ascertained the costs of executing the tour would be "too steep" to be feasible, and consequently shut down operations.
