Inertia Veteran Colin Daniels Promoted To CEO

Two new appointments

Well respected Australian music executive Colin Daniels has been promoted to CEO of the Inertia Group.

Daniels will now take oversee the company’s music division, interests in publisher Gaga Music, management joint venture IE Inertia and promoter Handsome Tours.

Colins was ranked the 13th most powerful person in the Australian music industry in the most recent AMID Power 50 list, alongside Inertia founder and outgoing CEO Ashley Sellers. He’ll remain Director and board member of the company and work with Daniels on strategic growth.

“Colin has been integral to Inertia’s solid growth over the last seven years,” Sellers said, “anticipating market trends and driving change to maintain Inertia’s position as Australia’s premier independent music group.

Inertia also announced two new appointments today, with former Big Day Out staffer Ben Suthers promoted to Director Of Operations Administration and Finance. Yvonne Cho will join Sunday 5 April as Senior Label Manager, managing Inertia’s distribution clients including Remote Control and Kobalt Label Service.
