What have our indie bands been up to?

Oh Mercy will be in fine company when they hit the road later this year after announcing Brisbane's Millions as their main support. Plenty of talk about a "love fest" between the two acts as well.

A swag of local acts have been added to Perth's boutique This Is Nowhere festival - including locals James Ireland, {Move} Crew and more, including internationals. The beatmakers will dominate the Dolphin Theatre stage.

The debut record from Big Day Out-bound OFF! has found an Australian more, with alternative label UNFD picking up the rights.

Speaking of UNFD, Brisbane's Violent Soho are managed by them now, and have signed to I OH YOU for their upcoming 7" and - in all probability - next year's album.

The Medics have added new shows to their tour, and launched the video for their latest single Slow Burn.

We spoke to Sydney's Shady Lane about the mental struggles behind their latest album.

It looks like St Kilda's Pure Pop Records (a store and live venues) will have its voice heard after the Mayor ordered a Live Music Roundtable for the area.
