Melbourne progressive metal band I Built The Sky are going back on tour across the country, headlining bigger venues than ever this June.

The announcement of the band’s highly-anticipated Aussie headline tour arrives after fans raised more than $30,000 to see Ro (Ro Han) Stevenson and his phenomenal live band perform across Australia, the United Kingdom, Europe, and India this year.

After selling out Melbourne’s iconic Northcote Social Club in late 2022, performing at Uncaged Festival across Australia’s East Coast, and joining Plini on his recent National tour, I Built The Sky are ready to embark upon their first headline run since 2017.

I Built The Sky’s first headline tour in over five years promises “a massive step up in production, the best of the band’s catalogue featuring glorious riffage, insane guitar shredding, impossible drum work, next-level keyboard solos and a low-end hammering that will thoroughly fill your drawers, all paired with some gorgeous acoustic arrangements to keep the night diverse and fresh,” a press release reads.

Ro will be accompanied by his live band: Sam Tan (bass), David Parkes (drums) and Rohan Sharma (keys), who all complement the technical yet beautiful instrumentals of Ro’s music.

In addition to the headline tour, I Built The Sky are offering a limited number of masterclass tickets per show.

The band will invite a select few into the mind of Ro as he discusses songwriting techniques, performance tips, and insights into all things encompassing a full-time Australian musician in metal music, plus time for questions and meet and greets.

These masterclass tickets come with the chance to win a brand new SRS808C Acoustic guitar supplied by Maton Guitars, a brand new Boss Katana 50-watt amplifier supplied by Roland Australia, and a set of Ro's favourite custom etched Bare Knuckle Pickups, provided by Bare Knuckle themselves.

To enter the draw, purchase your master class tickets before the 1st of May. Masterclass tickets are limited to 20 per event.

Tickets to I Built The Sky’s June tour go on sale on Monday, 27 March.
