Adelaide based Aboriginal artist signs with The Herd's label

Rapper, singer and producer Jimblah has signed with hip hop label Elefant Traks, the label revealed.

The Aboriginal artist grew up in Broome, Western Australia, but has been based in Adelaide for the last 13-odd years, making music for a lot of them. He was the inaugural winner of the Hilltop Hoods Initiative and has since dropped his debut album Face The Fire, which has slowly crept into the consciousness of hip hop, soul and even indie circles around the country.

Face The Fire is now available for free download from Jimblah's website.

Elefant Traks will release his next album in 2013 and the label's head Tim Levinson (Urthboy) is now his primary management contact.
