Some new shows from Vic Mensa, MS MR, Odesza and more

There's no lag time for Groovin The Moo — not for something this awesome. Having announced the 2016 festival's solid line-up last week, a bunch of the festival's acts have already started rolling out a bunch of sideshows for those of us who can't make it to the festival as it heads around this April/May.

First off, Seattle electronic duo Odesza have announced they'll be hitting up Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth from Friday, 22 April to Friday, 6 May to give fans in the cities a taste of their stellar production skills. The duo will be touring with a full band and will have their newest album, In Return, to showcase.

Rockers Mutemath have also dropped a set of dates to mark the New Orleans outfit's third visit to our shores. Bringing along their fourth studio album Vitals, the band will kick off their headline shows at Sydney's Metro Theatre on Wednesday, 27 April before continuing on to Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

Joining the travelling roadshow is young Chicago rapper Vic Mensa who'll bring his pumping live performance to four smaller club shows this April. Mensa will start at Sydney's Max Watt's, before heading to Melbourne's The Prince, Brisbane's The Met and Perth's Villa Nightclub.

Next up, hip hop upstart Danny Brown has announced a round of headline dates to compliment his sets at Groovin The Moo. The Detroit artist is currently working on his latest record, but is also taking time to craft a Dr. Suess-influenced children's book for his young daughter. He'll head to Brisbane's The Tivoli first, before heading to Melbourne, Sydney and Perth from Friday, 22 April through to Sunday, 8 May.

Lastly, New York duo MS MR have announced the addition of some headline dates. No strangers to Australia, the pair will start in Sydney on Thursday, 28 April, before moving on to Melbourne's Prince Bandroom, Brisbane's Triffid and Perth's Rosemount Hotel until Thursday, 5 May.
