Prolific songwriter and ARIA-nominated artist Emily Wurramara has "lost everything" following a fire at her Brisbane home overnight.

As ABC reports, 36 firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze, which broke out early this morning, but the two-storey property was gutted.

No cause has been officially confirmed.

Wurramara posted on social media confirming the incident, stating that she and her family now "practically have to start from scratch".

A fundraising campaign has been launched by Wurramara's manager Jo Pratt to help Wurramara and her "daughter, mother and brother get [their] life back on track".

"Super super super extremely grateful to anyone that can help even if it's a dollar," Wurramara wrote.

"There were heaps of valuable things of my grandparents that we can't replace but I am so grateful and thankful that everyone in the building is safe and no one got hurt. Sending love and light to you and hope you have a beautiful day."

Speaking to The Music, Pratt confirmed Wurramara is planning a fundraising concert for the other residents affected by the fire. Further details will be revealed in the near future.
