Atlas Genius' rise continues

Four Australian artists will feature at this year's Lollapalooza festival line-up in America.

The world renowned Chicago festival, which is run by C3 Presents who are co-promoters of Australia's Big Day Out, has announced that it will be headlined by The Cure, Mumford & Sons, The Killers and Nine Inch Nails.

Featuring high up on the bill are Knife Party, the electro spin-off of Pendulum's Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen.

Further down are Adelaide's Atlas Genius who despite struggling to find traction locally are emerging stars in the American market. They were one of the most talked about Australian acts at the recent SXSW showcase and have featured on late night TV.

They appear above fellow SXSW showcaser 360. The rapper is injecting himself into the US after establishing himself as one of the nation's biggest hip hop artists locally.

Perth's young indie guns San Cisco also appear on the bill.

International artists on the bill who are 'on-cycle' and will inevitably be thrown into the Big Day Out rumour-mill include Phoenix, The Postal Service and Queens Of The Stone Age.

The festival will run from Friday 2 – Sunday 4 August at Chicago's Grant Park.
