After the hopeful and dance-inducing 'Wonders', FLOYA are now shaking things up with their second effort entitled 'The Hymn'. This time the duo is leaning more towards fast paced rock, while still managing to maintain their unique art pop influence. 'The Hymn' scoops you up without warning and takes you on an emotional rollercoaster ride through FLOYAs own dreamscape.

More Floya More Floya

We absolutely LOVED Floya's debut single 'Wonders' - Lili Jean Berry chatted with the brand new band and frankly, Wonders is actually one of our favourite releases of 2022 to date. AND NOW they are returning with a brand newie. It's called The Hymn - and hope you love floaty vocals on what is possibly the most easy-listening alt music you've heard this decade. It genuinely is BUOYANT. We challenge you to not feel lifted after listening to it.

Marv and Phil from Floya say that "The Hymn is about compromise and letting go, but also about making peace with these concepts. There are times when you realize you can’t have everything you want, so then you’ve got to decide what to pursue and what to let go of. These kinds of things can be fairly dramatic sometimes, but in the end these scenarios teach me about what’s most important to me.“ said vocalist Phil Bayer.

Once more full production duties and additional songwriting were fulfilled by Chris Kempe (Embark Audio), best known for his work in ALAZKA & Time, The Valuator and mastering being handled by Robin Schmidt (The 1975, You Me At Six, Biffy Clyro, Don Broco)

Rising from the ashes of ALAZKA & Time, The Valuator brand new group FLOYA emerge onto the music scene. The German duo consisting of Phil Bayer & Marv Wilder establish a wild blend of solid foundations alongside modern EDM elements, alternative and world music. Carving a name for themselves individually in the past as the founders and songwriters of their praised acts ALAZKA and Time, The Valuator, Phil & Marv are now headed on a journey of their own!
