Fidlar To Headline Brisbane Punk & Comedy Festival; Announce National Tour

Fidlar are part of two major announcements today: the Los Angeles surf rock band will go on their first Australian tour since 2019 and headline the second edition of the Brisbane music and comedy festival, Super Fun Day.

The Fidlar Deyown Ondah tour comprises six shows across the country, beginning in Sydney before Super Fun Day in Brisbane, then flying off to Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Fremantle. 

The Cheap Beer group will co-headline Super Fun Day alongside Brissy heroes Dune Rats. Also on the line-up are Ruby Fields, Manchester, UK's Pale Waves - who need sideshows of their own, am I right?! - Beach Bunny, Ocean Grove, Hevenshe, and more. 

Fidlar fans identify with the skate-punk band's outlook on life: "Fuck It Dog, Life's A Risk". The band released their most recent single, Taste The Money, a few days ago. 

The track is the third offering from their upcoming EP set to be released early next year and follows the trio's fierce comeback song FSU, which brought delight to their fans after a three-year hiatus. 

This is far from Fidlar's first visit to Australia; the band are regulars on Splendour In The Grass line-ups - a festival with gigs that vocalist Zac Carper describes as “some of the craziest experiences [he’s] ever had.” 

The Early Bird pre-sale for Fidlar's headline tour begins this Friday, 25 November, at 9 am local time. The General Sale tickets go on sale next Tuesday, 29 November, at 9 am local time. Sign up for pre-sale here.
