"A dream come true."

More Sunscreen More Sunscreen

Sydney indie rockers Sunscreen have inked a bookings deal with New World Artists.

The exciting announcement comes as the band prepares to release their second EP, Falling In An Elevator, on August 23, the title track of which they released a month ago.

“I’ve been a fan of Sunscreen for a while now and specifically remember the weight that was lifted off my shoulders the first time I heard Voices from their debut EP," New World Artists' Dominic Miller told The Music.

“When I heard the chorus of High Over Love I felt that same feeling and I knew I had to work with this amazing band. We see a long future ahead of Sunscreen and we’re so excited we can be a part of it.”

New World Artists’ Brodie Popple said it was a “dream come true” to be working with Sunscreen.

High Over Love is a great indication of all the exciting things to come for the band and I’m grateful to work with Dom and have them part of our family at NWA,” Popple said.

Sunscreen lead vocalist and guitarist Sarah Sykes added: “Dom has been a mentor to me since the early days of Sunscreen. I’ve always loved the artists on his roster and it was had always been a dream of mine to one day work with him.

“So it literally was a dream come true when he called one day to say ‘let’s work together!’. We are so grateful to work with Brodie as well - his enthusiasm for music is second to none, and together him and Dom represent everything we love about Brisbane.

“Sunscreen is so lucky and excited to be working with the strong team that is both of them."

This past weekend, the band wrapped their single tour in Melbourne. Keep an eye on theGuide for any Sunscreen tour announcements.
