Canadian-Australian songstress Tracy McNeil has announced the July 1 release of her sophomore album Nobody Ever Leaves, and backed that news up with the revelation of details regarding a tour in support with her band The GoodLife.

Before the album's release, though, Tracy and The GoodLife will hold a launch on June 28 at the Northcote Social Club, Melbourne, supported by Small Town Romance and Dan Parsons, before embarking on their wider sojourn in support. That part of proceedings kicks off on July 4 in Adelaide at The Wheatsheaf, before heading through Warrnambool, Sydney, Maitland, Newcastle, Canberra, Rye, Castlemaine, Brisbane and Mullumbimby before passing back through Brisbane to finish up at an as yet unconfirmed venue on August 24.

Recorded last year at Little Gold Studios in Brunswick, the album was brought to life with the assistance of a revamped GoodLife line-up that includes Bree Hartley (drums), Matt Green (Simone Felice/Jordie Lane; lead guitar), Rod Boothroyd (bass) and Luke Sinclair (Raised By Eagles; guitar), with special appearances from Saint Jude's Brendan McMahon (keyboard) and Ted Kazan of the Melbourne Ska Orchestra (trumpet).

Formerly one half of the brightly and quickly burning star that was acclaimed Melburnian alt country duo Fireside Bellows, with Jordie Lane, McNeil released her debut (second effort if you count Fireside Bellows' No Time To Die), Fire From Burning, in 2011 to warm reception, the album acting as a catalyst for her to provide support for such acts as Old Crow Medicine Show, Eilen Jewell, Mary Gautheir, Tony Joe White, Great Big Sea and local sweethearts The Audreys, so it's safe to say that, with Nobody Ever Leaves' release, her career trajectory can only continue to go up from here.
