He has accepted a position at Fairbridge Festival.

After three years at Perth's RTRFM, Stu MacLeod has announced plans to move on from the station to pursue a role at Fairbridge Festival.

The Eskimo Joe member signed on at RTRFM in 2015 as the community station’s general manager, playing a key role in the station’s 40th-anniversary celebrations last year.

MacLeod said it was a difficult decision, but one he made in order to have more time with his family.

“RTRFM has been fortunate that Stu has dedicated himself to working for the station that gave his band, indeed gives virtually all WA original bands, their first airplay,” RTRFM chair Rewi Lyall said.

RTRFM is in the process of finding its next general manager, with more information expected soon.
