More Empire! Empire! (I Was A Lonely Estate) More Empire! Empire! (I Was A Lonely Estate)

It's been five years since quintessential fourth-wave emo act Empire! Empire! (I Was A Lonely Estate) released their acclaimed debut full-length What It Takes To Move Forward, but fans' patience has been rewarded after the band officially announced their impending second LP, You Will Eventually Be Forgotten, on Facebook this morning (AEST).

With a scheduled release date of August 19, the eagerly awaited follow-up will be released through emo revival ground-zero label Count Your Lucky Stars and Topshelf Records, and, although explicit Australian release details have not been unveiled, the band's debut is available via indie label Hobbledehoy Record Co, and the sophomore will likely be available on iTunes alongside their previous works.

The 11-track album promises to be a grand step forward for Empire! -- which is centred on husband-and-wife duo Keith and Cathy Latinen -- with guest appearances from scene legends such as Chris Simpson of Mineral and Bob Nanna of seminal heart-on-sleeve angst factory Braid (whose music is also available in Oz via Hobbledehoy), and its production team of Minx Recording Studio's Mat Halliday and mix master Chris Common.

In addition, given Empire!'s focus on immersive, world-building lyrical imagery the band will be releasing a graphic novel companion to the album, titled Ribbon, which has been illustrated by Kentucky-based artist Free Ben Sears. The book will be available for individual or bundled purchase alongside the LP.
