More Dena Amy More Dena Amy

Up-and-coming DJ, producer, performer and all-round creative prodigy Dena Amy is preceding a sizeable North American tour with the impressive news that she has freshly signed with revered Australian indie Sweat It Out ahead of releasing her debut single, Wait For You, through the label.

The deal sees Amy join an esteemed cohort of acts under Sweat It Out's purview, including the likes of Ajax, A-Trak, Crooked Colours, Emoh Instead, Frames, Motez, Indian Summer, RUFUS, Porsches, What So Not and Benson, with whom she co-produced the new track.

Having turned heads with her excellent Midnight Allure mix (and tour of the same name) just under a year ago after a solid spell behind club decks garnering quite the reputation for her smooth arrangements and energetic live shows, Dena Amy is all kinds of ready to take her career to the next level, and her deal with Sweat It Out should do much towards keeping that momentum high as she turns her attentions towards the US.

That said, she's not forgetting about her adopted home country (she was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, before moving to Sydney) — following her six-date tour of North America, she returns Down Under for a homecoming tour of sorts to support Hayden James, kicking off at The Triffid, Brisbane, on 26 August. She'll also be performing in Melbourne (Max Watt's, 27 August), Perth (Villa, 2 September), Adelaide (Fat Controller, 10 September) and Sydney (Metro Theatre, 15 September).
