More Elle King More Elle King

One of the last bits of news out of the Bluesfest camp now that the festival's 2016 event is only seven weeks away, Grammy-nominated rocker Elle King has announced she'll be embarking on a short headline stint to coincide with her Bluesfest appearance.

The daughter of funnyman Rob Schneider and model London King, it'll be King's debut tour around our country — timed perfectly, since she's up for two Grammys this year and has her debut album, Love Stuff, ready to showcase.

She'll bring her gritty blues rock and killer banjo stylings to Melbourne's Corner Hotel on Tuesday, 22 March and Sydney's Metro Theatre on Thursday, 24 March.

In other news from Bluesfest, multi-instrumentalist Blind Boy Paxton will be joining Tedeschi Trucks Band as their special guest on their headline run, which stops by the Forum Theatre, Canberra Theatre Centre and the Enmore Theatre.
