More Electric Callboy More Electric Callboy

German electronic metal band Electric Callboy are returning to Australia this November, and they’re more popular than ever in this country if the immediate selling-out of tour dates is anything to go by.

Today, Destroy All Lines has upgraded the band’s Melbourne show, after their scheduled Forum show sold out in a record two minutes. The gig will now take place at PICA.

Some fans, however, aren’t too happy about that, calling the new venue a “downgrade”. The show will still take place on Wednesday, 29 November, and all existing tickets remain valid. Tickets to the show are on sale now. Purchase now to avoid disappointment, as they won't last long.

The Melbourne venue upgrade follows the Adelaide show, which also sold out fast. That gig would’ve been held at The Gov but has since been moved to the Hindley Street Music Hall.

The Electric Callboy shows at Sydney’s Roundhouse and Brisbane’s Eatons Hill Hotel are also sold out, with fans pleading for the Brisbane show to be upgraded to the Fortitude Music Hall. Their first show on the tour will take place at Metropolis, Fremantle, and tickets are selling fast.

Electric Callboy hit the Top 40 single charts in Germany with Spaceman (#31); the band's fifth album, Rehab, was released in 2019. Their latest ten-track album, Tekkno (released in September last year), includes the previously released fan-favourite tracks We Got The Moves, Pump It and Spaceman

Tekkno debuted at #1 in Germany, #3 in Austria, #6 in Switzerland, #9 in Belgium, #13 in Finland and #66 in Australia.

Single, Hypa Hypa, has reached over 60 million plays and over 29 million views on YouTube in record time, with the track becoming the band’s biggest success story so far.

Known for their shrill party attitude and ecstatic live shows, which Aussies witnessed at the band’s first Australian appearance at Good Things Festival in 2022, the German collective are at their party-starting best.
