Recovery alumni host Dylan Lewis is making a full-time return to the airwaves in 2024 with the announcement that he’s filling the Double J Mornings chair Monday to Thursday. Better known on radio in some cities as a Nova presenter where he hosted Adelaide breakfast and Melbourne mornings, Lewis picked up three commercial radio awards across his career, but its his TV work on seminal 90s morning TV show Recovery that will always be his much-loved legacy. Lewis has worked regularly as a fill-in host on Double J and is already well-known to listeners after a two-year stint on weekend mornings during 2020/21.

The announcement comes as Double J gears up to mark its 10th anniversary with significant changes to the lineup.

As previously reported, Richard Kingsmill has wrapped up his popular show The Funhouse (and his multi-decade music direction) while roots program Stir It Up has also been cut along with host Mikaela Simpson. Weekend Mornings host Rad Yeo has also finished up with no live announcers currently scheduled on the station.

Karen Leng shuffles to the lunch slot, while Tim Shiel returns to Arvos from 3pm Monday to Thursday. Returning to Friday Mornings is Zan Rowe with Take 5 and Desko.

Friday Lunch will be in the capable hands of Caz Tran, a well-known figure in the industry, who will also host Classic Albums on Monday nights at 6 pm. Transitioning into Friday afternoons, Hau Latukefu will launch a new hip-hop block party show from 5 pm, providing the perfect soundtrack to kickstart the weekend. Hau will also continue his weekly Sky High program.

To kick off the milestone decade on air, Double J has announced that acclaimed singer-songwriter Missy Higgins will take on the role of Artist in Residence throughout February. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of her debut record, The Sound of White, and amidst a massive national tour,
