A noble gesture.

More Duran Duran More Duran Duran

Iconic UK act Duran Duran have announced they will donate all proceeds made from Eagles Of Death Metal's cover of their 1982 track Save A Prayer, after a campaign was launched to get the US rockers version of the song to #1 on the UK Singles Chart following the tragic Paris shootings.

Taking to Twitter, frontman Simon Le Bon said, "..will donate all proceeds due to us, from this version. Considering options that are useful, peaceful & uniting."

According to NME, EODM's cover of the song has reached #96 on the midweek charts and is expected to rise over the coming days.

The campaign was launched after Paris' Bataclan hall came under siege by several gunmen during an Eagles Of Death Metal concert over the weekend, where 87 people in attendance were killed, while hundreds more were injured.
